This course will enhance the role of the treasurer. At its core will be a number of sessions devoted to the use of computer spreadsheets. Participants will be trained in how to utilise a chosen software programme to best effect in keeping the accounts and representing complex information such as budgets and membership statistics.

The course aims to:

• identify strategies for effectively using NUT funds to benefit members;
• examine the treasurer’s role in promoting the NUT and its activities; and
• support the development of accounting and related skills.
