Russell Kane and Rebecca Fergusson to Headline at Summer Comedy and Music Festival
This summer the NUTs national education and training centre, Stoke Rochford Hall, is staging a two-day festival of live comedy and music in its grounds on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th August.
TV’s X-factor sensation Rebecca Ferguson and Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Russell Kane, along with some of the UK’s hottest comics and talented musicians, head the line-up for what promises to be one of the biggest outdoor concerts to take place in the area this year.
Staged in front of the spectacular backdrop of the Mansion, the festival will feature top comedy and music with a mix of headline acts and local bands. Kicking off with comedy on Friday 16th, the event will feature some of Britain’s most talented comedians before live music takes centre stage on Saturday 17th.
Headlining on Friday is radio and television regular Russell Kane, who has just finished touring the UK with his latest live show ‘Posturing Delivery’.
He is currently gearing up to host the second series of ‘Live at the Electric’ for BBC3 and was back on our screens last November co-hosting the second series of the much loved ‘Unzipped’ (BBC3).
A regular on both Radio and TV panel shows, Russell has appeared on ‘Celebrity Juice’ (ITV), ‘Mock the Week’ (BBC2) and ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ (Channel 4) to name but a few.
Topping the bill on Saturday will be singing sensation Rebecca Ferguson, who may have narrowly missed out on the ‘X-Factor’ title in 2010, but has since gone on to huge international success.
Her debut album ‘Heaven’ notched-up double platinum UK sales, while she was also nominated for two MOBO awards and a MTV Europe award as well as being a smash hit in the USA - winning rave reviews.
