The NUT’s parliamentary work aims to develop effective working relationships with members of both Houses of Parliament from all parties and to influence government policy, parliamentary debate and legislation on education issues as well as those which impact on teachers and children more generally.
Education Select Committee

Science and Technology Select Committee
The Science and Technology Committee conducted last year an inquiry into school science experiments and field trips. In June NUT Deputy General Secretary Kevin Courtney, a former physics teacher, and NUT member and physics teacher, Greg Jones gave oral evidence to the Committee.
