Members of the National Union of Teachers in Gowerton Comprehensive School will be taking strike action tomorrow, 29th November over the issue of Teaching and Learning Responsibilities which have replaced the previous Management Points.

David Evans, Secretary of NUT Cymru said, “We are bitterly disappointed that there has been no resolution and no movement by the school at all. We are still prepared to negotiate but ball is firmly in the school's court.

“At Blaen y Cwm Primary School (Ebbw Vale) the Governors are meeting tonight. It is hoped that proposals will be received that are sufficient to call off strike planned for next Tuesday.

At Penyrheol Comprehensive School, Gorseinon, Cefn Hengoed Comprehensive School, Swansea, Ebbw Vale and Pontllanffraith Comprehensive Schools talks are continuing in attempts to avert strike action and to reach a resolution.
