NUT Cymru Welcomes New Minister - Press Release
Commenting upon the first Cabinet reshuffle by new First Minister Carwyn Jones Wales Secretary of the NUT said:-
“We very much welcome the news that Leighton Andrews has been appointed Minister for Children, Education and Lifelong Learning. He is an experienced and respected Assembly Member who has worked well in his previous appointments as a Deputy. I am sure that we will be able to forge a similar excellent working relationship to that we enjoyed with Mr Andrews predecessors in one of the most high profile and important jobs at the Assembly.
“We should also add that we wish Jane Hutt every success in her new role as Minister for Business and Budget where I am sure she will succeed. Now that the key Cabinet appointments have been made, the NUT looks forward to continuing to engage with the Assembly Government regarding all matters that may affect our members.”
